Meet katie
Katie is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, where she earned her degree in Fashion Design. Early in her career, she worked with the California Market Center, collaborating with major department stores and buyers to create color stories and iconic wardrobe pieces for a global audience. She later joined a design firm, quickly rising to Vice President of Operations, where she oversaw design, production, sales, marketing, and customer service—transforming the company into a highly profitable and efficient operation.
In 2006, Katie founded Bump Couture, a high-end maternity line that brought chic, contemporary style to an underserved market. The brand gained international recognition, was carried in top boutiques and major retailers like Nordstrom and Barneys, and was worn by celebrities including Jennifer Garner and Angelina Jolie. A successful collaboration with Target launched in 2009, with collections consistently selling out within weeks.
After stepping away in 2011 to focus on family, Katie returned to her passion in 2024 with the launch of R.brooklyn.
